We are one of the only independent real estate companies that was
built and structured as solid as and as organized as one of the
big franchises. Our Broker has had many years of experience with
large name franchises yet began his career with a small boutique
type brokerage. When founding First Team Georgia Realty it was his
goal to take the time necessary in the beginning to be attentive
to every detail of the brokerage so that the integrity of the
Brand of First Team Georgia Realty is superior and that everything
within the Brokerage is built around making it as easy as possible
for the agents to do what they do best...sell homes. First Team
Georgia Realty was founded in April of 2006 with our first office
opening April of 2007. The first year was dedicated to tweaking
policies and procedures as well as looking at the best of the best
in the real estate industry and incorporating some of the best
solutions and processes into our business model. The bottom line
answer is: We care about our agents, We are dedicated to
your success, We are as solid as a big franchise, We do not just
"talk" the game...we have programs to back it up!
I have met with some of the big name
brokerages such as Re/Max and Keller Williams and they say their
name and size makes them better?
Those companies do not get listings or clients flooding into their
office just because of their name. Their agents get listings
and clients. Is there a benefit to their company name recognition?
Of course, but it is the agent that really ultimately secures
their own business. First Team Georgia Realty is built on a
superior brand of integrity. In the first year of business
we had not even opened an office and had 3 agents with us.
However, we were already considered one of the key competitors in
the Suwanee/Cumming area. The bottom line is, First Team
Georgia Realty can provide you all the training in the world, just
as can those other larger franchises, but ultimately it is up to
you on how successful you want to be. The selection process
that has been put in place by our Founding Broker, David Wolfe,
makes it so that every agent that is brought on will uphold our
strict standard of integrity. THAT is a brand you will need
and want when talking to potential clients.
What really makes First Team Georgia
Realty different?
Again, we are about more than "talk", we are about action. Take
a look at our website, this is a prime example of how we are
different. It is a state of the art, award winning website. Easy
enough to use, but flashy enough to really catch attention and
keep their attention. Take a look at our Yard Signs, again,
clean and crisp, while flashy enough to be remembered. We are
not your typical cookie cutter brokerage. We have a strong
belief in not just being a part of the real estate industry, but
rather leading it and setting the example. We dominate in the
services we offer our agents and the training we require. We
want to do everything we can to make the entire real estate
process as easy for our agents as possible in terms of the back
office so that they can concentrate on doing what they do
best...selling. Therefore, we offer Yard Sign installation
service, Flyer Design service, FMLS entry of all listings, home
photography service, and the list just keeps going. We are
different because we care about our agents personal success. Our
philosophy is if we concentrate on each of our agents success,
then we will be equally successful as a brokerage. We're
different because we care and we really do get involved.
I have heard when meeting with
brokers that it is really me interviewing them
to make my selection where I want to go?
In many situations that is accurate. Because of the volume of
agents that are out there, many brokerages have their business
model setup based on number of agents they can recruit versus
actual productivity of agents they have. Our Founding Broker,
David Wolfe, does not subscribe to this theory of business and is
much more concentrated on the integrity of the First Team Georgia
Realty brand. Therefore, he interviews all potential agents. As a
former Business Management Consultant, Entrepreneur, Senior
Manager in Property Management, etc. David understands that any
interview is a two way street. You are, or should be, interviewing
your interviewer just as much as they are interviewing you. The
only way you will truly have success is if it is a good match from
both sides. Any decision should always be based around the Win-Win
mentality. So are you interviewing us? Yes, absolutely.
However, we are also interviewing you, we are selective in who we
bring on to represent our brand. That is what makes us not only
different, but better.
How does your commission split
compare?
Again, our philosophy is built around taking care of our agents.
We are not a "discount" brokerage that promotes discounting of our
services or our commissions. Therefore, we do not advertise our
commission splits. We can say that we are EXTREMELY competitive
and even offer profit sharing and medical insurance. We have an
Agent Referral Program, and with our long term goals we are
constantly looking for individuals looking to grow within the
organization into either management, operations, or training
positions.
What is my level of freedom in terms
of marketing and advertising and running my business my way?
Our feeling is that you are an agent that is affiliated with us,
but ultimately you are an entrepreneur running your own business.
Therefore, you have complete freedom in terms of your advertising
venues, ad types and designs, etc. There are certain regulations
that must be followed per the Board of REALTORS as well as the
Georgia Real Estate Commission, but outside of those rules, every
agent is free to explore their own creative side. It is required
by the Commission that all advertising go by the Broker for
content review; however, as long as the company integrity is
upheld and the regulations are adhered to by the Commission and
the Board, then have fun!
What type of training is available to me through First
Team Georgia Realty?
First Team Georgia Realty offers several training programs. The
first is an intensive four-week program designed for newly
licensed agents. For experienced agents transferring into First
Team Georgia Realty, we provide sales skills development and we

But the training and coaching doesn't stop there. Your
manager will also work with you to create a Personalized
Business Plan, outlining your goals, and a Personal Marketing
Plan as the blueprint for achieving that goal.
How much money can I really make?
This really depends on you. Realtors are paid strictly on a
commission basis, which depending on your point of view can be bad
or good. If the idea of being paid what you're worth appeals to
you, then real estate is your choice. Most hard-working agents can
meet or exceed their required income needs their first year.
